Working Insurance Follow-Ups

Purpose

Use this workflow when working insurance follow-ups from the navbar categories.

Prerequisites

  • access to Message Center
  • insurance follow-up categories visible in the navbar

Steps

  1. Open Message Center.
  2. Use the insurance follow-up navigation to open the correct category:
  3. Today
  4. Ready
  5. Needs Attention
  6. Warning
  7. Critical
  8. Action Required
  9. Select the follow-up item.
  10. Review the associated thread and current status.
  11. If required, send hold-time or follow-up communication.
  12. Update ownership, status, or assignment when needed.
  13. Confirm the follow-up now appears in the expected state or category.

Expected Result

  • the follow-up is actively worked, reassigned, or resolved
  • the thread and follow-up state stay aligned

Common Mistakes

  • skipping the thread review before acting
  • sending hold-time communication without checking current timer/state
  • assuming category color alone explains the whole situation

Troubleshooting

  • if the expected follow-up is missing, refresh and verify date range or category logic
  • if ownership actions fail, confirm the current assignment and thread lock state
